| There are different high density polyethylene (HDPE) resins along with wide spec and reprocessed materials that can be used in the manufacturing of HDPE sheets. The trend towards recycling of post-consumer waste material is making this more common. This can cause many variations in the properties of the polyethylene including impact strength, hardness of material and stress crack resistance. Due to the lack of exact specifications, you as a customer never know exactly what you are receiving when purchasing HDPE sheet. Rink Systems, Inc. recognizes your need for a polyethylene sheet that is superior in physical properties and also consistent from lot to lot. With this in mind, we are pleased to supply white polyethylene that is produced only from an industry leading high molecular weight (HMW), high density polyethylene copolymer. In comparing the physical properties of this HMW resin and typical HDPE resin, the HMW is a far superior sheet in arena dasher board applications. |

| The ultimate in clear, maintenance-free shielding. Hard glass surface resists scratches and is easy to clean. Safety-tempered to resist breakage during the toughest competitive conditions. Available in either 1/2" or 5/8" thickness. Individual lites are cut and tempered to your exact measurements, the edges are ground smooth for safety and reduction of chipping. | High density polyethylene caprail in either 3/4" or 1" thickness. Red or dark blue, with natural white and other custom colors available. RSI can route a 3/8" deep groove to accept your shielding, in lieu of aluminum sill channels. Poly caprail covers are also available. |
| OUTBOARD FACING |
| Designed to withstand the temperature extremes of outdoor rinks, Rink Systems FRP facing is a fiberglass reinforced plastic panel laminated to a plywood core. A significantly lower coefficient of thermal expansion than standard poly eliminates warping or buckling. |
